It's a Wonderful World Project
This was a very quick but very fun project!
The point of this project was to create a potential immersion trip for next year. We were in groups of two, and my partner was Alex Wood. Once we had those partners, we drew from a hat to pick a number so we could select a county (based on foreign exchanged students). Once we got our country we were paired with a student from that country so they could help us collect information about it. Eventually we presented our country (and website) to the board of judges, students, and teachers, a few travel agents, and some upper clansmen to see what they thought of it. There were 3 finalists (sadly we weren't one of them) that "won" the presentation of their country where they then present to the staff of teachers, to see if any of them actually would want to take students on the trip!

Requirements:
- We had to create a research binder about our country. The binder included many different articles, websites and book copies. It also included pictures of our country, and places we would go there. The binders were very organized, they were actually color coordinated! One of the other things that was need was our "Expert Consults", those are all of the information we got from our experts from that country on paper, we met with our experts 3 times. Near the back of the binder was the last thing that we needed to do, which was the works cited, where we gathered all of our informations' sources and put them on paper using a strict format.
- After the binder was done we had to create a website also giving information to people about our site. My country was France, so we had to create a France inspired site. The website can included many things, including a day by day itinerary, real life costs of everything including travel prices (planes, trains, cars), as well as things you should know before you go (like how to say hi, good-bye, I don't speak english, etc.). The site also had a summary of the trip, 3 google maps of where we would be going once in France, and lastly a travel poster giving people the gist of what we would be doing while there.
- The last thing we had to do for this project was to present all of this to all of the people I mentioned above, to see if it would become an actual trip! For the presentations we mainly used our website, and went through each link with the audience to help explain what our trip was about, what we would be doing, and why it should actually be a trip!
